Members of our core team actively conduct vulnerability research and coordinated disclosure. Their published CVEs and security findings across widely used products bring current research experience into the Academy’s programs and assessments.

The Academy grew from years of community activity, security research, and technical events.
Knight Squad was founded by Md. Moniruzzaman Prodhan (NomanProdhan) on January 28, 2020. The community focused on learning by doing, with free sessions and workshops that helped learners develop practical security fundamentals.
In 2022, the community launched KnightCTF—the first internationally open CTF organized from Bangladesh—and BDSec CTF. Knight Squad continues to organize both competitions annually alongside its other learning and community activities.
Knight Squad Academy was founded in 2026 as a dedicated platform for structured training and certification. It extends the community’s experience without replacing Knight Squad, which remains active independently. The Academy’s core team works across penetration testing, VAPT, DFIR, vulnerability research, and platform quality.

Knight Squad Academy is supported by a distributed, online-first team, allowing programs, certification delivery, support, and security services to be coordinated efficiently. Selected in-person training may also be delivered at partner campuses or at a requesting organization’s own campus or premises.
